An L Shape bath is typically used for showering. It is wider at one end - normally the tap end - than the other in order to create enough space for the user to stand in for showering.  There are 2 90 degree corners in the sides of the bath to create the extra width (as opposed to a P shape bath which is used for the same purpose but has rounded bends to create the extra width). You will normally need a bath screen to stop water escaping from the shower and possibly front and end bath panels too.
