Choosing the Perfect Vanity Unit: Space, Style, and Function

What should you look for when buying a bathroom vanity?

A vanity unit is more than just a cabinet—it is the functional hub of your bathroom. Selecting the right unit requires balancing your storage needs with your plumbing constraints and the overall flow of the room. Our collection is curated for longevity, featuring water-resistant finishes, soft-close hinges, and premium drawer runners that withstand the daily rigours of a high-humidity environment.

Core Vanity Unit Categories

Wall-Hung Vanities: The ultimate choice for modern, minimalist interiors. By keeping the floor clear, these units create the illusion of more space, making them perfect for smaller bathrooms or en-suites.
Floor-Standing Units: Offering the most storage capacity, these units are ideal for busy family bathrooms. They provide a sturdy, traditional foundation while perfectly concealing pipework.
Compact/Cloakroom Vanities: Specifically designed for narrow or restricted spaces, these units prioritise functionality without compromising on style, ensuring your smallest rooms remain organised.
Double-Basin Vanities: The pinnacle of luxury for primary bathrooms, providing separate prep areas to streamline morning routines for busy households.

Expert Considerations Before You Buy

Plumbing Alignment: Before choosing your unit, check the configuration of your waste pipes. Most modern units feature a "plumbing void" at the rear, but it is essential to measure your current pipe positions to ensure the unit can sit flush against the wall.
Moisture Resilience: Bathroom furniture is not the same as kitchen furniture. Ensure your vanity unit is specifically rated for bathroom use, featuring lacquered or foil-wrapped edges that prevent water ingress and swelling.
Soft-Close Hardware: In a bathroom, slamming doors can damage the cabinet structure over time. Our entire range features soft-close hinges and drawer runners, which protect the unit and offer a quieter, more premium user experience.
Material & Maintenance: For high-traffic bathrooms, look for easy-to-clean, non-porous surfaces. While wood-grain finishes offer warmth, matte or gloss lacquers are often the most practical choice for long-term maintenance.
