Choosing the Perfect Offset Quadrant Shower Tray
Why choose an offset quadrant?
Offset quadrant shower trays are the ideal compromise for bathrooms where you want the space-saving curve of a quadrant design but require more internal showering room. By extending one side of the tray, these units provide a larger footprint than a standard quadrant, making them an excellent choice for replacing older baths or fitting into alcoves where space is at a premium.
Key Features of Our Collection
-
Space Optimisation: The asymmetric shape allows for a wider showering area without encroaching too heavily on your overall bathroom floor plan.
-
Handed Design: Our range includes both "left-hand" and "right-hand" configurations to ensure a perfect fit for your specific pipework and bathroom layout.
-
Low-Profile Aesthetics: Select from ultra-slim trays that sit almost flush with your floor for a seamless, "wet room" style appearance.
-
Safety & Durability: Many of our trays are manufactured with stone-resin cores for superior rigidity and feature integrated anti-slip surfaces for added peace of mind.
Technical Considerations Before You Buy
-
Handing (Left vs. Right): Before ordering, visualise your enclosure. The "hand" is determined by looking at the tray from the front; the longer side will extend to either the left or the right.
-
Weight & Rigidity: Stone-resin trays are heavier but offer significant structural benefits, ensuring they do not "flex" under weight, which helps prevent leaks at the seal line over time.
-
Waste Position: Check the position of your waste outlet. Offset trays often require specific waste kits due to the shape of the tray, so ensure your plumbing can accommodate the drainage point provided.
-
Sub-floor Preparation: Always ensure your floor is perfectly level before installation. Using a riser kit is recommended if your plumbing requires the tray to be elevated for waste pipe clearance.
