Choosing the Perfect Shower Set for Your Bathroom

What makes a high-quality shower set?

A shower set is the centrepiece of your bathroom, balancing aesthetic appeal with essential plumbing performance. Selecting the right set requires consideration of your home's water pressure, valve configuration, and the specific needs of your family. Our curated range features industry-leading brassware designed for longevity, reliability, and seamless integration into both modern and traditional interiors.

Core Shower Set Categories

Thermostatic Shower Systems: These sets feature a dedicated valve that maintains a consistent temperature, even if other taps are used elsewhere in the house, ensuring maximum safety and comfort.
Exposed Shower Valves: A popular choice for both renovation and new builds, these valves are mounted on the wall surface, making them easier to install and maintain without deep wall access.
Concealed Shower Valves: For a minimalist, "boutique hotel" look, choose concealed valves where the plumbing is hidden within the wall, leaving only the controls and the shower head visible.
Slide Rail & Handset Kits: The ultimate in flexibility. These sets include an adjustable rail and a handheld shower head, making them ideal for rinsing the enclosure, bathing children, or washing pets.

Technical Considerations Before You Buy

Check Your Water Pressure: This is the most critical factor for performance. Ensure your chosen shower set is compatible with your home's pressure (measured in bars). Low-pressure systems (gravity-fed) require specifically rated shower sets to ensure a satisfying flow.
Valve Type: Decide between a "bar" valve (a horizontal cylinder) or a "concealed" valve. Exposed valves are generally more budget-friendly and easier to access for future service, while concealed valves offer a cleaner, high-end design.
Sustainability: Look for sets that include water-saving features like flow-limiting aerators. These maintain a powerful, refreshing spray while reducing total water consumption, helping to lower your utility bills.
Finish and Maintenance: From brushed brass to classic chrome, ensure your shower set matches your existing taps. Always follow the manufacturer’s care instructions to keep finishes free from limescale and water spots, particularly in hard water areas.
