Selecting the Ideal Kitchen Tap: Form Meets Function

Answer: What should you look for in a new kitchen tap? The kitchen tap is the most hardworking fixture in your home. Beyond aesthetics, choosing the right tap requires consideration of your home's water pressure, your sink configuration, and your daily culinary needs. Our curated collection features high-quality ceramic cartridges, solid brass waterways, and durable finishes designed to resist the rigours of a busy kitchen environment.

Core Kitchen Tap Styles

Monobloc Mixers: The most popular choice for modern homes. These taps feature a single spout and control, making them compact, easy to operate, and compatible with most sink designs.
Pull-Out Spray Taps: Perfect for professional-style food preparation and effortless cleaning. These taps feature a retractable hose, allowing for precision rinsing of vegetables and hard-to-reach corners of your sink.
Bridge Mixer Taps: The quintessential choice for traditional or farmhouse-style kitchens. Featuring distinct hot and cold inlets joined by a central spout, they offer a timeless, high-end look.
Instant Boiling Water Taps: The ultimate modern convenience. These taps provide filtered boiling water on demand, eliminating the need for a kettle and saving precious counter space.

Technical Considerations Before You Buy

Water Pressure Compatibility: This is the most critical technical factor. Check your boiler type; low-pressure (gravity-fed) systems require taps specifically rated for 0.1–0.2 bar, whereas combi-boiler and high-pressure mains systems offer a wider choice of high-flow options.
Spout Reach & Height: Ensure the tap's spout length is proportionate to your sink’s bowl size to prevent splashing. If you have low-hanging cupboards above your sink, check the total height of the tap before purchase.
Mounting Configuration: Determine whether you need a single-hole installation (common for monoblocs) or a two-hole installation (for traditional bridge mixers).
Finishes: From PVD-coated brushed brass to classic chrome and matte black, ensure your chosen finish is compatible with your existing kitchen hardware and sink aesthetic.
