The Essential Finishing Touches for Wall Panels

Why do I need specific trims and sealants?

Installing bathroom wall panels is a fast and efficient way to refresh your space, but the longevity of the system depends entirely on the quality of the installation accessories. Professional trims not only hide exposed edges for a clean, designer look but also provide the necessary structure to keep panels perfectly aligned. Using the correct, manufacturer-recommended sealants and adhesives is the only way to guarantee a 100% watertight seal that prevents moisture ingress and protects your underlying walls.

Core Accessories Explained

Trims & Profiles: We stock a comprehensive selection of internal and external corner profiles, quadrant trims, and end caps. These are available in various finishes—such as polished chrome, white, or black—to either blend seamlessly with your panels or provide a stylish contrast.
Adhesives: Choose from high-grab, rapid-cure panel adhesives. These are specifically formulated to bond securely to various substrates, including plasterboard, marine ply, and even existing tiles, without damaging the panel core.
Watertight Sealants: Our range of anti-fungal, waterproof silicone sealants is essential for all joints and perimeter edges. These are designed to withstand high-humidity environments without shrinking, cracking, or discolouring over time.
Installation Kits: For DIYers, we offer "complete installation kits" that include the exact amount of adhesive and sealant needed for your specific wall area, ensuring you don't overspend on excess product.

Expert Installation Tips

Plan Your Profiles: Always identify the type of corner (internal vs. external) before ordering. Using the wrong trim profile is the most common cause of installation delays.
Prepare Your Surface: While panels are versatile, the surface underneath must be clean, dry, and stable. Use a high-quality degreaser to ensure the adhesive achieves maximum bond strength.
The "Sureseal" Standard: For the ultimate protection in shower enclosures, ensure you apply a continuous bead of sealant inside the profile before slotting the panel into place. This "belt and braces" approach ensures no water can ever reach the wall behind.
