Buy Deep Shower Trays Online from Plumb-Warehouse

This is the latest in our occasional series of blogs on shower trays. In this blog, we look at deep shower trays. And of course you can buy deep shower trays online from Plumb-Warehouse.

What Are Deep Shower Trays?

Unlike standard low-profile trays, deep shower trays feature a higher edge and often also feature upstands. This increased depth offers several advantages, transforming your shower into a more comfortable and versatile space.

Why Choose a Deep Shower Tray?

• Water Containment: The primary benefit of a deep shower tray is its superior water containment. This is especially useful for powerful showers. The higher sides minimise the risk of water escaping onto your bathroom floor, preventing potential damage and creating a safer environment.
• Ideal for Families: Deep trays are perfect for families with young children or pets. They can double as a shallow bath, making bath time more convenient and enjoyable.
• Added Versatility: A deeper tray allows for more versatile showering experiences. You can use it for handwashing clothes, soaking feet, or even bathing small pets.
• Easier Maintenance: The higher sides mean that the tiles or wall panels don’t reach as close to the floor of the tray. This makes the overall cleaning simpler.
• Aesthetic Appeal: Deep trays can add a touch of drama and sophistication to your bathroom. They create a more defined shower area and can be paired with various enclosure styles to achieve your desired look.

Considerations When Choosing a Deep Shower Tray:

• Bathroom Size: Ensure your bathroom has enough space to accommodate a deep shower tray without feeling or looking cramped.
• Enclosure Style: Choose an enclosure that complements the depth of the tray and adds to the water containment.
• Material and Finish: Select a material and finish that matches your bathroom decor and provides durability and easy maintenance.
• Installation Considerations: If you are using tiled walls, consider a shower tray with upstands. These ridges around the upper edge of the tray tuck under the bottom of the tiles to ensure no water seepage between the tray and the tiles. If you are planning to use wall panels (which we recommend in most situations), you will not need a tray with upstands.

Transform Your Shower Experience:

A deep shower tray is more than just a functional element; it’s an investment in your comfort and convenience. By choosing a deep tray, you can create a luxurious and versatile shower space that meets your needs and enhances your bathroom’s overall appeal.
