Grohe’s Supply Issues

…and how we are dealing with them

It is no secret that Grohe has been having supply chain issues in the UK. Grohe’s own stock levels in the UK had fallen. And to make matters worse, the time taken to get stock from Germany has increased.

This appears to be related to Brexit. Now the UK is outside the EU, Grohe’s exports are subject to Germany’s export rules. These seem to be bureaucratic and slow meaning containers of goods sit at the docks in Holland waiting for approval to be exported.

These delays mean that stocks have also fallen in Grohe’s UK distributers as well as Grohe UK themselves.

Having said all that, demand for Grohe’s products has remained high. They make a comprehensive range and the quality at each price point is high.

I order to be able to continue supplying Grohe’s products in a timely manner to customers, we have taken 3 actions.

• Firstly, we have increased our own stock of Grohe products. That means we have more of their range available for immediate dispatch.
• Secondly, we now use 3 of Grohe’s largest UK distributers to source our products. That increases the chance that one of our suppliers will have the product. Any again these items are available for same day dispatch to the customer.
• Thirdly, we have found 2 suppliers in Germany who can ship directly to us. As they are shipping one product at a time the products are not held up by the export laws. We have been able to do this without increasing the prices that customers pay. The products arrive with us in a few working days – much faster that relaying on Grohe’s on supply chain.

So we are now able to source a much wider range of Grohe’s products for quick delivery than many of our competitors.

If you are having trouble sourcing a Grohe product, please contact us to see if we can help.

You can view our entire range of Grohe’s products here. We can also source products that we don’t have listed so again, please contact us if you’d like us to try. You can search through Grohe’s entire range on their own UK website which is here.
