Barber Wilsons

Barber Wilsons and Co was formed in 1899 by the Wilson brothers with Edward Barber joining them six years later. It has remained a family business ever since having now been owned and managed by four generations.

During the 2 world wards, their factory was repurposed to support the war effort, initially with shell casings and more later with a range of components for ships and aircraft.

Their famous Mastercraft Art Deco range was originally designed in the 1930s for the Savoy and Claridge’s hotels. It remains in Claridge’s to this day.

Barber Wilsons has been granted a Royal Warrant by the Queen to follow the one granted by the Queen Mother.

Perrin & Rowe

The final high quality taps and shower company we stock is Perrin & Rowe.

Perrin & Rowe is the youngest of our 3 top end brands having started 40 years ago. They made the world’s first 3 in 1 kitchen tap (for hot and cold water as well as separate drinking water) using a waterway which they successfully patented. This typifies their approach of innovation combined with traditional manufacturing techniques.

Their taps and showers are assembled by hand and each one is water tested.

Summary

All three taps and shower companies enjoy very strong reputations and brand loyalty both in the domestic and international markets. They all design and manufacture their products in the UK. Most taps and  showers are made to order so that the customer can combine their own choice of finishes and tap head styles.
