The Hidden Foundation: Choosing the Right Cisterns and Frames

Why is the choice of cistern and frame critical?

The efficiency and longevity of your toilet installation depend entirely on the components hidden behind the wall. Selecting the correct cistern or support frame is not just about fitment; it is about ensuring soundproofing, water-saving performance, and structural integrity for years to come. We curate our range to include only industry-leading brands that provide the durability and serviceability required for modern bathroom renovations.

Core Cistern & Frame Categories

Concealed Cisterns: Designed for use with back-to-wall or furniture-integrated toilets, these units offer a clean, clutter-free look while providing efficient flush mechanisms.
Wall-Hung Support Frames: These heavy-duty frames are engineered to support the weight of wall-mounted toilets, providing a secure, stable installation that hides plumbing within the wall void.
Dual-Flush Technology: Our range prioritises water-saving models, allowing users to switch between partial and full flushes to significantly reduce household water consumption.
Flush Plates & Buttons: Complete your installation with our selection of designer flush plates, available in various finishes to match your tapware and bathroom accessories.

Technical Considerations Before You Buy

Space and Depth: Before selecting a frame, measure the depth of your stud wall. Some frames are "slimline," specifically engineered for compact spaces where traditional depth is unavailable.
Compatibility: Ensure your chosen cistern is compatible with your toilet pan. While most are universal, it is vital to verify the flush pipe centres and connection points.
Accessibility: Modern concealed cisterns are designed with a removable flush plate, which acts as an access panel for maintenance. Always ensure your chosen flush plate location allows for easy access to the internal valve components.
Sound Insulation: For bathrooms located near bedrooms, look for frames with sound-dampening insulation to reduce noise transfer through the wall during the flush cycle.
